The Delta Chi Preamble
We, the members of the Delta Chi fraternity, believing that great advantages are to be derived from a brotherhood of college and university men, appreciating that close association may promote friendship, develop character, advance justice, and assist in the aquisition of a sound education, do ordain and establish this constitution.
My Big Brother
Aaron Otto
One of the greatest men I have ever met, Otto helped guide me to see what it truly means to be a brother in Delta Chi: to give, to care and to be involved.
I am forever greatful for his guidance while he was at K-State and now long-distance from GW. I only hope that one day I can help guide another naive young man through his AM semester as well as Aaron Otto did.
Wichita High School East IB Leadership Scholarship
The Kansas State chapter of Delta Chi offers a scholarship for one male and female graduate of the IB Program at Wichita High School East.
I started the scholarship in the memory of my father, CC Killingsworth, who died in the line of duty as a firefighter for the city of Wichita on Dec. 31, 1988.
The scholarship is a $500 freshman scholarship split over two semesters. The male recipiant is not required to join Delta Chi, but it sure would be a great way for that student to get involved.
If you are interested in the scholarship, please e-mail me. You can also click on the link below to view and print out the application.
My Delta Chi Experience
I am a Delta Chi because...
I was initially interested in fraternities because I felt they were a great way to get involved and meet new people. I was approached by Corey Rasmussen and Jason Ary about joining Delta Chi. It was about brotherhood, leadership and campus involvement. After I met the guys in the house, I knew that these were they types of guys that I would be honored to associate with.
After milking the rush committee out of a few free meals, I signed my bid card and became an excited associate member of the Kansas State Chapter of Delta Chi. That was one of the best decisions I have made while at Kansas State and the benefits are still growing.

The Transition from Tats to Sunset
When I joined Delta Chi, we were without an official chapter house. Lovingly referred to as "Tats," Tattarax appartments served as the un-official Delta Chi home for a fortunate 27 tennats. I was fortunate enough to be able to move into Tats my first semester at K-State. My first roommates, Dave Bateman, Eric "Gimpy" Nelson, and Ryan Adams quickly became some of my best freinds.
I fondly remember parties and brotherhood activites that went on at Tats. From Revens' 21st birthday to the all-nighter homework project when I stayed up with Ryan Rostine, from the homecoming parties with those lovely Sigma Kappa women to the P and C movie nights in the pit, my first year at Kansas State will probably be the best memories I have.
But on October 12, 1998, we officially bought the Phi Delta Theta house on 508 Sunset. It was one of the greatest accomplishments for our chapter in its short history. We now have a new world to adapt to. Instead of individual bedrooms and communal kitchens, we now have a pool room, TV room, multi-man study rooms, a computer lab, formal living room and library, dining room, house mother's quarters and full laundry facilities. With the recent addition of Ethernet to the house, it has become a luxury to live in.
I must admit that it has been a hard transition, but the first year of anything is usually challenging. I dream of the day that the permenant Delta Chi house, up on the hill, stands tall and proud as a monument to the hard work, love and dedication of all the men that have been here before me, my current brothers, and all the men afterwards.
I love being a Delta Chi, and no matter where we live, we will always have our brotherhood to hold us together.
